Developed a theme and event identity for Welcome Week at Bethel University.
I was one of the graphic designers on the Communications and Marketing team for Welcome Week. Welcome Week is a big event to welcome in the new college freshman at Bethel University. My team and I were assigned the task of coming up with the Welcome Week theme. We also had to create t-shirts that all of the staff would wear on the welcome days.
As seen in the theme ideas and ideation, my team and I came up with many different Welcome Week themes. The designs under ideation are a few rough draft logo iterations that I designed.
INITIAL LOGO IDEATION
We came up with the theme of “Jubilee” which was represented with a simple flag graphic behind the text. This theme was tied to the Bible verse, Luke 4:16-21. The theme inspired the team members who wore the shirt and encouraged the incoming freshman students of the joyful community they were becoming a part of.
